Conveyancing Paralegal: Lee-on-the-Solent

Lee-on-the-Solent | Full time, office based | £27,000 to £35,000 depending on experience

RecQuest is recruiting on behalf of a boutique South Coast law firm that is looking to add a Conveyancing Paralegal to its residential property team in Lee-on-the-Solent.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a proper career in conveyancing, rather than sit in a narrow admin role where they only see one part of the process. You will be joining a smaller, experienced team where you can get close to the transaction, learn directly from fee earners, and play a meaningful part in keeping residential property matters moving from instruction through to completion.

The firm has a well established local presence, a strong client care focus, and a professional but personable culture. This would suit someone who is organised, reliable, confident dealing with people, and keen to develop within a busy residential conveyancing environment.

The role

You will be supporting the residential conveyancing team across the full lifecycle of a transaction. Duties are likely to include:

• Opening new files and handling initial client paperwork

• Carrying out ID checks and onboarding tasks

• Ordering searches

• Preparing and issuing standard correspondence

• Supporting fee earners with client, agent and lender communication

• Handling Land Registry filings

• Assisting with post completion work

• Keeping files moving and helping the team stay on top of deadlines

Because this is a smaller office, you will gain broader exposure than you might in a larger department. You will see more of the file, more of the client journey, and more of the practical detail behind a residential property transaction.

About you

This role could suit someone with previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Assistant. It may also suit someone with strong legal administration experience who has a clear interest in property law.

You will need to be:

• Organised and accurate with good attention to detail

• Comfortable speaking with clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties

• Reliable, proactive and willing to support the wider team

• Able to work well in a busy, client focussed environment

• Interested in developing your conveyancing knowledge over time

• Happy to work full time from the Lee-on-the-Solent office
