Private Client Fee Earner - Gosport

Gosport | Full time | Office based | £38,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

RecQuest is recruiting on behalf of a well established South Coast law firm that is looking to appoint a Private Client Fee Earner to join its Gosport office.

This is a solid opportunity for someone with genuine private client experience who wants to manage their own caseload, build long-term client relationships and work in a firm where private client work is taken seriously, not treated as an afterthought.

The role

You will manage a varied private client caseload. Depending on your background, matters are likely to include:

• Will drafting, including complex and tax-sensitive estates

• Probate and estate administration

• Lasting Powers of Attorney

• Trusts advice and administration

• Elderly and vulnerable client matters

• Client meetings and, where appropriate, home visits

This is not a role where you will simply process standard wills and LPAs. The firm handles work with genuine depth and complexity, and you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills alongside your client relationships.

About you

This role would suit a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced unqualified fee earner with a strong track record in private client work.

You will need to be:

• Experienced across core private client matters including wills, probate and LPAs

• Confident managing your own files from instruction through to completion

• Comfortable advising clients sensitively, including elderly and vulnerable individuals

• Organised, methodical and attentive to compliance

• Interested in building your profile within the local community

• Based within commuting distance of Gosport

This is a full time, office based role in Gosport. It is not hybrid or remote. Private client work at this level depends on client trust, accessibility and face-to-face interaction. For the right person, that is the appeal.
