Conveyancing Lawyer - Fareham

Fareham | Full time | Office based | £42,000 to £60,000 depending on experience

RecQuest is recruiting on behalf of an established South Coast law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join its team in Fareham.

This is a role for someone who knows residential conveyancing inside out and wants to work in a firm where the department runs properly, the clients are genuine and the work comes through reputation rather than churn. You will manage a full caseload from instruction through to completion, with appropriate support and the independence to run your files your way.

The firm is well known in the local market, has long-standing relationships with agents and lenders, and sees a consistent pipeline of quality residential work. This is not a volume factory. It is a proper conveyancing practice that values getting things right.

The role

You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

• Re-mortgages and transfers of equity

• New build transactions

• Title review, raising and responding to enquiries

• Exchange, completion and post-completion formalities

• Keeping clients, agents and lenders informed throughout

There may also be scope to take on more complex or high-value matters depending on your experience, as well as the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues as the team continues to develop.

About you

The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive with strong residential conveyancing experience.

You will need to be:

• Qualified with a solid track record handling residential property matters

• Confident managing a full caseload independently

• Technically strong across the full range of standard and more complex residential transactions

• A clear, confident communicator who keeps clients informed and reassured

• Familiar with case management systems and portal tools

• Based within commuting distance of Fareham
