Conveyancing Assistant - Bishops Waltham

Bishops Waltham, Hampshire | Full time | Office based | £24,500 to £27,000 depending on experience

RecQuest is recruiting a Conveyancing Assistant for a well regarded Hampshire law firm based in Bishops Waltham. This is an entry-level position suited to someone with around a year's conveyancing experience, or a recent law graduate looking to build a career in residential property.

The firm is a trusted local practice with a strong reputation in the community and a consistent pipeline of residential conveyancing work. It is the kind of place where you will learn properly, be given real responsibility early, and work alongside experienced conveyancers who are happy to invest time in developing the people around them.

The role

You will support the residential conveyancing team across the full transaction cycle. That means assisting with file management from instruction through to completion, handling property searches and enquiries, drafting correspondence, liaising with clients, lenders, and other solicitors, and helping to keep transactions moving to deadline.

As your confidence grows, you will take on more direct responsibility for your own files and develop towards running matters with greater independence. This is a role where the progression path is real and visible.

What we are looking for

You will have either around 12 months of experience in a conveyancing support role, or you will be a recent LLB or LLM graduate looking to specialise in residential property work. Either way, you will be organised, comfortable with detail, and motivated to learn.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Bishops Waltham is a semi-rural location and reliable transport is necessary to get to the office.
