Civil Litigation Lawyer - Lee-on-the-Solent

Lee-on-the-Solent | Full time | Office based | £40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience

RecQuest is recruiting on behalf of an established South Coast law firm that is looking to appoint a Civil Litigation Lawyer to join its team in Lee-on-the-Solent.

This is a role for someone who enjoys the variety that comes with a mixed civil litigation caseload and wants to be the person clients turn to when a dispute needs resolving. You will manage your own files, have direct client contact, and work within a team that values practical, well considered advice over process for the sake of it.

The firm has a strong local presence and a loyal client base. It is the kind of practice where you will be known by name, trusted with real responsibility, and given the space to do good work.

The role

You will handle a varied civil litigation caseload. Depending on your background, matters are likely to include:

• General civil disputes and breach of contract claims

• Landlord and tenant disputes

• Boundary and property related disputes

• Debt recovery and enforcement

• Small claims and fast track matters

• Client meetings, case strategy and court preparation

• Correspondence with clients, opponents, courts and third parties

The caseload is genuinely varied. You will not be doing one type of dispute on repeat, and the firm values lawyers who can think on their feet and adapt to different situations.

About you

The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced litigation fee earner.

You will need to be:

• Qualified with at least 2 years of civil litigation experience

• Confident managing your own caseload independently

• Comfortable being the primary client contact on your files

• Familiar with CPR and court procedures

• Organised, commercially aware and clear in your advice

• Based within commuting distance of Lee-on-the-Solent
